The HCV and HIV Core, located at Boston Medical Center, combines both clinical and methodological expertise. Leaders of the Core have clinical expertise in HCV, HIV and substance use disorders as well as expertise with evaluation of longitudinal data and simulation modeling to inform health policy related to HCV, HIV and substance use. The Core serves as a resource for investigators conducting economic analysis of the consequences of HCV and HIV diseases and their treatment among people who use substances. The Core also provides access to and guidance on use of longitudinal datasets for economic evaluation of HCV and HIV in the era of integrated health systems.
